Describe your role at Centri
As Chief Product Officer, I lead our Product, Design, Content and Customer Support teams. I’m responsible for shaping our product strategy and making sure we’re building the right things for our customers and the business. It’s about bringing together customer needs, business goals and our teams to create products that deliver real value.
What do you do to deliver the best experience for prospective clients?
It starts with really understanding the problems our customers and users are trying to solve. I want to make sure that we’re not just building great products, but creating experiences that genuinely help our customers achieve better outcomes.
What does a day in your work life look like?
Having only recently joined, a lot of my time at the moment is spent listening and learning - speaking to customers, working with our amazing teams across Centri and getting close to our products. Alongside that, I’m working on our product strategy, priorities and some exciting ideas for where we go next.
What drew you to Centri?
The people were a big part of what drew me to Centri. I was excited by the chance to work with such a talented team and build on the great products, expertise and community that Centri already has. What made that opportunity even more meaningful was doing it in cybersecurity - an industry where the work we do can help people and organisations become better equipped to protect themselves and contribute to a safer digital world.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like taking a problem or an idea and figuring out how we can turn it into something real and genuinely valuable for customers. I also love the collaborative side of product - bringing different people and perspectives together to create something better than any one of us could create alone.
What's your background?
I’ve spent almost 20 years working across product, commercial and strategy roles in telecoms, education and technology across both B2B and B2C. I’ve had the opportunity to work across large organisations like BT, as well as professional learning businesses including QA Ltd., Skillsoft and Global Knowledge with much of my career focused on building products, finding new opportunities and solving real customer problems.
What are your ambitions for Centri and your career in particular?
I’d love Centri to become the go-to partner for organisations that want to build and continuously improve their cybersecurity capability. Personally, I want to keep growing as a product leader, building brilliant products and teams, and working on things that have a genuine and positive impact on the people and organisations we serve.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love going to see live music, particularly rock and heavy metal. I’m a Tottenham Hotspur season ticket holder so I experience a lot of up and downs that come with that! I love travelling, good food and a road trip whenever I get the chance. Having recently finished some major renovations at home, I’m also enjoying having a bit of downtime with my husband and our two cats and finally getting to enjoy the space we spent so long designing!
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
It changed depending on what I was interested in at the time. I always loved reading about space, so astronaut was definitely up there, alongside vet, doctor and journalist at various points. Turns out that I didn’t follow through on any of those! My mum was a teacher though, so perhaps there was some subconscious influence there, as I’ve ended up spending a good part of my career in the learning and education industry.
