Meet Luke: One of Centri’s Product Managers Shaping Cybersecurity Training

At Centri, creating high-quality cybersecurity training that delivers real value requires a clear product vision and close collaboration across teams. In this Faces of Centri feature, we’re shining a spotlight on Luke Fisher, one of our Product Managers, whose work helps guide the development and improvement of courses and certifications that learners and organisations rely on.

For those who have been involved in product discussions or benefited from recent updates, this is a chance to learn more about the person behind the strategy. Whether you’re part of the Centri community or simply curious about life at the company, here’s Luke in his own words.

Luke: Shaping the Future of Our Training Portfolio

As Product Manager at Centri, Luke plays a central role in product direction. He explains, "As Product Manager at Centri, I help shape the direction of our cybersecurity training portfolio, including courses and certifications. My role involves working with teams across the business to define product strategy, guide delivery, and bring new products and improvements to market. I also work closely with stakeholders to balance market and learner needs, commercial goals, and long-term product development."

Delivering the Best Experience for Learners and Organisations

Luke focuses on deep market understanding to guide product decisions. He explains, "I focus on understanding the cybersecurity training market and what learners and organisations are looking for. This includes analysing competitor offerings, monitoring industry trends, gathering stakeholder feedback, and reviewing product performance. These insights help shape our products and ensure we're delivering training and certifications that provide real-world value and remain competitive in a fast-moving industry."

A Day in the Life of a Product Manager at Centri

No two days are the same, and that variety is something Luke particularly enjoys. As he puts it, "No two days are exactly the same, which is one of the things I enjoy most about product management. A typical day could involve reviewing plans for upcoming certifications and platform improvements, analysing the market, supporting go-to-market activities, meeting with stakeholders, or working with teams across the business to help deliver new products and enhancements. There's a good balance between long-term strategic thinking and solving the practical challenges that come with bringing ideas to life."

Why Centri?

Luke was drawn to Centri by the opportunity to work on meaningful training products in a growing business. He explains, "I was drawn to Centri because I've always enjoyed working on training products and helping improve the way people learn and develop new skills. I also liked the idea of joining a growing business where I could get involved in a wide range of projects, work closely with different teams, and have a direct impact on the products we deliver."

What Luke Enjoys Most

For Luke, the most rewarding part is seeing ideas turn into reality. He says, "What I enjoy most is the opportunity to help shape products from concept through to launch and beyond. It's rewarding to see an idea evolve into a certification, platform enhancement, or new initiative that supports learners and contributes to the growth of the business. I also enjoy working with different teams and bringing together a variety of perspectives to solve problems."

Luke’s Background

Luke brings experience from several sectors. He explains, "My career has taken me through several different industries, including healthcare, learning technology, and automotive safety. I also spent time in education early in my career, which sparked my interest in learning and development and the challenge of helping people build new skills. I moved into product management at Qualtrak, where I worked on SaaS learning and assessment platforms and discovered how much I enjoyed combining technology, problem solving, and customer needs to shape products. Later, at Thatcham Research, I had the opportunity to work on training and analytics products that not only supported commercial goals but also contributed to improving skills and safety across the industry. Those experiences ultimately led me to Centri, where I can combine product management with my interest in learning and professional development."

Looking Ahead

His ambitions focus on impact and growth. Luke shares, "My ambition for Centri is to help build products that make a genuine difference to learners and become recognised as some of the best in the cybersecurity training industry. Personally, I want to continue growing as a product manager, helping turn good ideas into successful products and making a positive impact both for customers and the teams I work with."

Outside of Work

When he’s not working, Luke spends much of his time outdoors or following sport. He says, "Outside of work, you'll usually find me out walking with my dog, Ruby, or following football. I'm a long-time Maidenhead United supporter, which has taught me resilience and patience over the years. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, with Dartmoor being my favourite place in the world whenever I get the chance to visit."

Childhood Dreams

When asked what he wanted to be as a kid, Luke answers with a smile: "A footballer, without question. Unfortunately, while the ambition was there, the quality and physicality probably weren't, so it went from ambition to hobby."

Luke’s Role Within Centri

Luke is a key part of Centri’s product and development team, working closely with colleagues across the business to turn learner needs and market opportunities into valuable training courses and certifications. His ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery helps ensure Centri continues to build high-quality, relevant products that support real skills development in cybersecurity.

He brings focus, collaboration, and a genuine passion for learning products that reflects the culture at Centri.
