Why has Security Blue Team changed its name to Centri?
Our business has grown beyond its original focus on blue team training. We now support a broader range of cybersecurity learning and certifications across different areas. The name Centri better reflects what we offer today, while giving us the flexibility to continue expanding in the future.
When will the change happen?
The move to our new domain, centri.org, will take place on 1 June 2026 between 08:00 and 12:00 UTC. During this period, there may be temporary disruption to the website and elearning platform while updates are completed.
We strongly advise that your teams do not start any exams or actively work within courses during this maintenance window.
Is this the same company?
Yes, this is the same company. The elearning platform and certifications remain unchanged. The only difference is a change to our trading name from Security Blue Team to Centri. It's important to note, our legal entity remains the same, Security Team Training Ltd, which will continue to appear on all invoices.
Has ownership changed?
No, there has been no change in ownership. The business structure, leadership team, and operations all remain the same.
Are account and e-learning access changing?
Your account access, individuals’ progress, certifications, and overall learning experience will remain the same. However, from 1 June 2026 you will need to log in using the same credentials, via elearning.centri.org instead of the old Security Blue Team domain. However, the existing securityblue.team domain will redirect to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
Are certifications still valid?
Yes, all existing certifications remain fully valid. There are no changes to your teams' records, progress, or access. From 1 June 2026, any new digital certificates will be issued under the name Centri.
Will certificates showing Security Blue Team still be valid?
Yes, certificates issued under the name Security Blue Team remain fully valid.
The name change does not affect their recognition, authenticity, or value in any way.
If I purchased a course before the name change, what name will be on the certificate?
Digital, certificates issued after 1 June 2026 will show the name Centri. If a certificate was issued before this date, it will show Security Blue Team. Both versions are equally valid and recognised.
What about printed certificates and coins?
During the transition period, if any of your team have requested a printed certificate and a coin post June 1, 2026, some physical rewards may still show the name Security Blue Team for a short period. This is simply due to existing stock and rollout timing, and it does not affect the validity of your certification in any way.
Will there be an option to reissue certificates under the new name?
There are currently no plans to automatically reissue certificates under the new name.
All existing certificates remain fully valid, so there is no requirement to replace them.
What name will our invoices show?
Invoices issued after June 1 will feature the Centri name and updated branding. Our legal entity remains the same, Security Team Training Ltd, which will continue to appear on all invoices.
During the transition period, some documents may still reference Security Blue Team, depending on timing and system updates.
Do I need to update internal procurement and accounting systems?
In most cases, no changes are required. Our legal entity, Security Team Training Ltd, remains the same. The only change is our trading name, which is now Centri. If your systems reference our trading name, you may wish to update this to Centri. If you have registered us under our legal entity, no changes are needed.
What is happening to the website and domain?
We are moving to centri.org as our primary domain. The existing securityblue.team domain will continue to redirect, so existing links, bookmarks, and access points will still work as expected through redirects.
Do users need to create a new account?
No, there is no need to create a new account. All existing accounts, login details, and progress will carry over without any action required.
Will there be any disruption?

Will people still see the name Security Blue Team?
Yes, in some places for a short period. We are updating systems and materials in phases, so both names may appear during the transition period.
What about Blue Teams Labs Online?
There will be no changes to our labs and investigations platform, and you and your team can continue to access your account as you have previously by visiting blueteamlabs.online.
Are the courses or content changing?
No, all current courses, labs, and certifications remain the same. We will continue to expand our offering over time, but nothing is changing because of this rename.
